Window Linings

Window Linings

There is a variety of linings that you may choose to use for your window treatments.  Most linings come in both white or ivory.

Linings can add that complete room darkening feel for those that wish to get that afternoon nap or they can be a much lighter material for the person who is not concerned about room darkening but wants to finish off the back of the window treatment as lightly as possible.

There also is the option of using a thermal backing for the home owner who is concerned about insulating from the heat of the summer and the cold of winter.

In addition to any of the linings, there is the option to use an interlining.  An interlining can be inserted to give a little extra insultaion as well as giving the window dressing a softer look.  Interlining is a very simple, yet elegant way to allow your home decor to offer a more inviting feel.

If you have additional concerns about your window treatments, then discuss those with me so that we can be sure to use the exact lining that suits your concerns.  The major types of linings that are commonly used are as follows.

  • Linit
  • Black-out lining
  • Thermal Sued
  • No Rain, No stain
  • Interlining
